Requirements for Multimedia Presentations

A Jamaxx Media Productions uses photo images, video, audio and written content, supplied by you, to create a meaningful and lasting record of your memories, or to promote your business or organization’s unique products and services. In order to do this effectively, Jamaxx Media Productions requires that photo images, video, audio, and written content, be submitted in specific formats as outlined below:

Image Files

• Photo images should be submitted in the following file formats:
  • JPEG
  • BMP (bitmap for Windows Operating System 32 bit)
  • PDF (Adobe Acrobat Reader)
  • PSD (Photo Shop)
• The image files should be at a resolution of at least 200 dpi (dots per inch) This allows us to touch up, manipulate, and optimize the images with a minimal loss of quality to the image. If the original image used is of a low quality, then the image in the final presentation will be of a lower quality.
• File names for digital images should be descriptive. If your image files are taken directly from a digital camera, please rename them using words describing the content or context of the image.
• Jamaxx Media Productions can scan your photographs to be used in a digital presentation. This is an added cost of $2.00 per image scanned. The original photographs will be returned to you.
• Any image file, submitted for use in your presentation, must belong to you, and/or, you must have the legal right to use it under applicable copyright laws.

Video Files

• Video files should be submitted in AVI or MPEG1 file formats, and should be uncompressed. During the process of creating the presentation, Jamaxx media Productions will need to process, manipulate, and compress the original video submitted. If the original video is uncompressed this will minimize any loss of quality and resolution in the final product.
• If only certain sections of a submitted video are to be used in the presentation, detailed information should be submitted with the video as to which parts should be used.
• Jamaxx Media Productions can transfer video from a digital camera recording device for an extra charge of $10.00 for each 5 minutes, or less, of video transferred. The original will be returned to you on the original recording medium.
• Any video file, submitted for use in your presentation, must belong to you, and/or, you must have the legal right to use it under applicable copyright laws.

Audio Files

• Audio submitted (can include sound effects, music, voice overs, etc) should be submitted as either WAV files, or as MP3 file formats. These files should be uncompressed or compressed at the lowest possible settings, to allow for a final product that has a minimum of loss to quality.
• Jamaxx media Productions can RIP audio files from a CD (CD must be your own for legal reasons) for an extra charge of $10.00 per audio file.
• Any audio file, submitted for use in your presentation, must belong to you, and/or, you must have the legal right to use it under applicable copyright laws.

Written Content

• Written content to be used in a presentation should be spell checked, proof read, and submitted in rich text, Microsoft Word Document (.doc), or editable PDF (Adobe Acrobat Reader) file formats.
• If you have any preferences for font style or formatting of your written content, this should be indicated.
• Submitted written content should be such that you have legal rights, under any applicable copyright laws, to use in the presentation.
• Jamaxx Media Productions can convert hard copies of written content to digital format for an additional charge of $15.00 per 100 words or less. The written content will be converted as written, so it should be spell checked and proof read before submitting.
• All written content should be accompanied with detailed instructions on where and how it should be presented in the presentation, unless you have no specific instructions, in which case, Jamaxx Media Productions will use their own discretion.
